These blocks are 6" and the whole quilt is 98 blocks, with 2 half blocks counted as 1.
The quilt is machine quilted by Catherine Timms in Ontario, Canada. She does lovely work, as you see.
I had the pleasure of bringing the quilt home from Canada a month ago.
My beloved grand-cat offered her expertise in quilt inspection when I did the last inches of the binding :-)

Civil War Diary blocks, Dear Jane blocks in blue and brown, Dear Jane stitchery......
