Tuesday progress

200109 hens stitchery

Now the chicken stitchery is done, and it has been washed, and it drying as we speak, as is the framing fabric.

This morning the power went out, so I was stitching in candle light, with a head light on.
I guess you can call me hooked when I was stitching with a head light on, as it does not exactly enhance my looks ;-)

Since I am now very close to done with the first two WISPs (work in slow progress) of the year I have picked a new of the kind, to be worked on besides my “behind the scene” projects.

200109 next project

This embroidery kit is positively more than 15 years old, and the embroidery has been done for at least the last 13 years, probably more.

I could not wrap my head around making the fabric covered box. I tried and failed, but was not ready to just frame the embroidery.
Now I think I know how to do the box – I think I can understand the instruction sheet – or I will play it by ear. I have not opened the cardboard kit yet though.

  1. Such determination, to finish your stitching LOL, I love it :o)!!!
That Santa cross-stitch is darling, can't wait to see the finished box, I bet it will be fabulous.

  2. It feels so good to complete a project. I am enjoying Leanne's House and I know that if I stick with it I will have that quilt completed this time next year.

    Hej!

I remember that santa box. I recall making it way back when. (15 years ago sounds right).

I don't have the instructions anymore and my memory isn't good enough to remember exactly what I did, but I did manage to make the box. If you want to try it and get stuck, contact me. I'll see what I can do to help you get unstuck.
