Impressions from Shipshewana

Some impressions from Lolly's - my favourite fabric shop in Shipshewana

From my favourite corner of the shop - the Civil War repro section
A small fraction of the shop

I bought the kit for this lovely CW 9-patch quilt :-)

A lovely appliqué.

The president quilt - a clever way to use a panel.

Outside the Cornucopia shop - an outdoor quilt on the wall-

Ready for an Amish trip on the roads?

We rested in the gazebo outside Yoder's Department Store (in the background). It was a lovely walk from town and back to the hotel. It is good to stretch the old hind legs every now and then.

From the upstairs retreat room we had on Wednesday afternoon and night, before the big retreat room was ready for us on Thursday.

I had brought my stars to work on through the retreat.
Note the lovely pin cushions - the cute little chicken I got from Karan and the gorgeous salt cellar pin cushion Cindy has made for me.

Cindy also brought me this beautiful book. I know Judy L. from blogland, and Cindy is her friend in real life.
