I nearly forgot…….

We are keeping the advent calendar tradition this year too :-)
It is fun to shop and prepare packets for my friends through the year, and it is so fun to open my packets on Advent Sundays.
We agree on the calendars from year to year, so I know how many to prepare.
My 2 calendars hangs  in the living room by the fireplace.

Here are my Advent candles this year. It is decorated with a traditional verse for each Sunday.

May Britt has translated the text on the first candle on her blog. I am borrowing it with her permission - thank you May Britt  :-)

Tonight we light one candle
we light it for joy
It stands there shining by itself
and we who present are
Tonight we light one candle
we light it for joy.

Last Sunday, the first Advent Sunday, this was in my packets.

A packet of Colour Catchers from Bente and 2 kits of prepped felt baubles from May Britt.

We had the most lovely Advent Sunday breakfast at May Britt's before leaving for home after a lovely weekend together.

We all opened our first Advent gifts together.

And we could admire May Britt's felt baubles, to inspire us to make ours :-)
