I have been trying to sort some of my fabric scraps, and thought, why not make a hand pieced scrap quilt?
I suspect these triangle blocks will not make much of a dent in my fabric collection.
Anyway - marking and cutting these kites was fun, and as addictive as chocolate - even better than chocolate :-)
The fall is definitively here, with dark evenings and cold mornings. My tea candle box if filled to the brim - a lovely birthday gift from May Britt.
This morning my car was covered in ice - brrrr
After reading Bonnie's blog post on word verification earlier this week, I decided to remove word verification from my blog again.
Last time I tried - a couple of years back - I was showered with a gazillion spams daily, and the Blogger spam filter did not do a good job.
I was unhappy and upset by very offensive spam content filling my inbox daily.
I am happy to say that this time the spam filter is working very well, and catch what it is supposed to catch.
It did not take more than 30 minutes from removing word verification to the first spam got caught in the Blogger spam filter.
I must admit I have been "lazy" commenting on blogs with word verification myself, as the images are getting harder and harder to see - and it is not my glasses that are blurry ;-)
So - now everyone are welcome to comment, also if you do not have a blog, and you do not have to worry about jumping through hoops.
One quilting project, like one cookie, is never enough!
Hanne
I took my verification off too, after hearing Bonnie talk about it on webcam the other night. So far, so good. The images that are shown for word verification are terrible to read!
ReplyDeleteIt had gotten so cumbersome, that I had really strayed away from commenting on blogs that had WV turned on. I'm glad yours is off now!! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's very satisfying to use up scraps on a hand pieced quilt. All the scraps hold so many memories. Love your quote today.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that I had it on mine until I read Bonnie's post, and I have removed it. I too had found them so very difficult to read.
ReplyDeleteWe were a little colder than you here this morning, 1 degree.
I like you scrap piecing
Well done Hanne. I only have a tiny blog - I don't make a big splash in blog world at all, haha, but haven't had any probs without word verification for the last 6 months. Not sure if having a low profile makes a difference.
ReplyDeleteHere, we are leaving the frosts behind and starting to get a glimpse of spring.
Thank you! I tried to comment on your blog the other day but gave up after 3 tries.
ReplyDeleteGreat post, I admire the writing style :) A little off topic here but what theme are you using? Looks pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteNow fabric is good, but better than chocolate? You sure??? I removed mine too, as my glasses had become fuzzy also!!
ReplyDeleteYour hand sewing project looks very pretty! I agree, word verification does play tricks with your eyes...
ReplyDeleteI will have to check if I have it on mine !! never looked ....love the kite scraps its lovely to start a new project even if you have many in progress :)
ReplyDeleteYour new project looks very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is fantastic.I´m your new follower.
Liebe Grüße Grit
Thank you thank you :-) if you use a tablet commenting with word verification is almost impossible.
ReplyDeleteOh wonderful! I have such a hard time with the word verification. You don't want to know the number of times I have called someone over to double check for me. Even then it has sometimes been wrong.
