I had not really planned to attend a Sue Daley class this year, as I attended one a year ago, and my schedule was really full.
Well – the best laid plans and all that – when I got a chance to join the Friday class on a very short notice, I just grabbed the chance with both hands.
I am so happy I did :-))
Attending the class was like a good shot of Vitamin Q!
First we learned how to fuzzy cut in a very clever way, and I can promise you it is addictive!
I am looking at my fabric collection with new eyes now.
Above are all the blocks from the class – we could easily have put them all into the same quilt :-)
Below is my contribution.
At the end of the day we learned how to make the baskets for the stunning basket quilt.
I allowed Sue to take the stitches out of my block to do the teaching of the needleturn applique. I must admit I have not done more on it…… yet :-)

I'm so green with envy. May and you have so much fun. I did one similar basket from Kim Diehl's pattern. I think the basket template needs to go on my wish list. BTW, learned another blog lesson and removed the robot. THANKS!
ReplyDeleteThese baskets are so fun to applique.
ReplyDeleteThe fussy cut blocks are beautiful. I am going to a class with Sue next March - I can't wait.
