Friend swap

P1070384I have been doing a swap with my Thursday Club friends, and it has been great fun :-)
Each participant got to chose their preferred colours, and the blocks were up to the maker of the blocks to chose.
My favourite Dear Jane block is D7 – Meeting Place.
It symbolize to me how quilters come together, online and offline.

P1070390Yesterday we met for a day out, visiting Hadeland Glassverk, having lunch, swapping blocks, do Christmas shopping at the glass stores, and just enjoying :-)

P1070392After enjoying our lunch, we swapped block – are they not gorgeous ? The blue and grey blocks above are mine. Lucky me :-)

Next step is for all of us to make a quilt (or quilt top) to have for Show & Tell at our guild meeting in May 2013.

The buildings are traditional Norwegian log cabins, and the shops are great.
I did a lot of my Christmas shopping.
Hege was so kind to carry my shopping too – thank you Hege :-)

  6. I love your blue and grey blocks, especially the one with the cats. So many beautiful things to see again. Did you really have so much shopping that you needed your dear friend to help you?
