I have really enjoyed doing sashiko lately, especially in the early hours of the morning,
with candlelight and a cup of coffee.
The simple stitches, the good contrast between background fabric and the colour of the thread.
I do use Aurifil 12wt.
It has a nice finish and it hold up well when washed.
I love the symbolism of the dragonfly as well.
It stands for happiness, new beginnings, change, transformation, hope, love.

The gifting season is getting closer, day by day.
I am turning this finished sashiko into something useful and pretty 💙
I can not remember what I originally had planned for this fabric.
It is time to put my treasures to good use.
As well as using my fabrics, I am also using my yarn.
These socks turned out well 💓

ReplyDeleteI think your socks look awesome! I love the texture, they'll be so nice this winter. Your sashiko is very pretty, I think it would make a nice pillow, happy stitching!
