and turquoise makes me smile :-)
This purse is one of my favourites from last summer,
and it is my own model. The purse is 12" square, 3" deep and have 2 equal sides.
The block is from Block Base.
Earlier I have always heard that turquoise is not my colour, but in a brave moment last summer I bought a turquoise t-shirt and felt sooo good,
so it was proven wrong - I do look good in turquoise !
Today I am also wearing turquoise socks to go with it.
I am a strong woman with a strong will ;-)
Do you have a colour that makes you feel powerful ?
I am still working on my Bento Box quilt and hope to finish the machine quilting today.
I gave up on trying to figure out what "looks good on me." I buy what I like! Today is LIME green, skirt & blouse!
ReplyDeleteI know it's a cliché, but I really do feel more powerful dressed in red!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful bag,Hanne!! And a very attractive block to piece.
ReplyDeleteI'm also one who doesn't look good in turquoise...except for me, it really doesn't work. Makes my skin look yellow..*VBS* I'm so happy that you tried it and felt good about it..hurray for you!!! Hugs, Finn
Very pretty bag and great use of a quilt block. I bet you get a lot of compliments when people see you with it!
ReplyDeleteNice purse. My power color is Orange. I am soooooo happy orange is back.
ReplyDeleteI really like the block you used in that purse... I'd try it if I weren't so afraid of curves!
ReplyDeleteNot surprisingly my favorite color is forest green. :)
