DD2's quilt in the making

I got caught up in doing units for DD2's quilt, so I did not meet my previous goals, but tomorrow is another day.

Now I have done so many units I had to lay them out to see how it will turn out. DD2 loves it !
Ooops, can see a layout error, and I guess you can see it too, in the middle block.
The quilt will be this width and what you see is half the height. What kind of borders I will use, if at all, depends on how it looks on the bed and what DD2 thinks.

  1. Hanne, maybe it is a good thing that you did take a picture of the blocks! It makes it so much easier to spot one that is turned or flipped. Sometimes even to verify the position of a block or row--have a pic to refer to for placement later?

  2. oh, it looks promising, I am looking forward seing the progress, thanks for sharing the photos, you make wonderful things...

  3. Very nice!

I like the different shades of purple there, to me two color quilts look so much more vivid if they have more than one shade of the color, but close enough where you don't see it as 3 colors. :)

  4. Oh I do like this! DD2 should be very happy with this on her bed. I had to look long and hard to find your layout error...had you not said anything I would have missed it.

  5. Ha -- I found it! Dark should have been light.
    These colors are gorgeous!!
    Jeanne :)

  6. I really like the block you are making for your DD's quilt. And what great colors...*VBS*

  7. Beautiful!!!! Lucky DD2!

  8. cool, I love all of what you have going on in that purple quilt!

  9. Blue and white are so nice in quilts. Your daughter's quilt will be lovely. Good luck getting it finished in time.
