Sunday update

The Watermelon quilt top is finished !!
I finished the top on Thursday 19. October and I really am looking forward to start the big stitch quilting. Hopefully DH can help me sandwich the quilt this evening, after our grand-cat has left the building.
She is ever so helpful in the quilting department. She is calm when I am working at my sewing table, but it is no use putting out blocks, quilts or anything on the floor or on the dining room table.

I am so happy Judy L. pointed me in the direction of the daily hour with sharing her lovely patterns - Thank You Judy !
The Watermelon quilt got 1 daily hour from 1. October - 19. October. It took 21 hours to finish - the extra hours put in the last day. It has been an albatross around my neck through the summer. You know - one of those *I should have done* projects.

We celebrated our 21 wedding anniversary on Thursday too, and as you see Lille Rusk has proof tasted the roses. They are approved ;-)

I am continuing with the daily hour and last evening I finished this motif for a new tote.
The pattern is from Bareroots, but I am not making the purse in the pattern - I am making a twist, as usual some might say ;-)
Now to draw vines on fabric to make the border.

I have been surfing the blogring but I have not left many comments lately.
I am still doing medical tests, but there is not set a plan for medical treatment yet, even if the method is more or less concluded. The last test, over 3 weeks, finished last week, took a very high toll and my middle name is Very Tired.
My daily hour at the sewing table, the blog reading and my friends using the internet have been my lifeline and joy through many of these days.
My sewing table nearly has teethmarks along the edge, but I made it through !!
I see that I have more bumpy road ahead, miles by the looks of it, so these last days I have gone through my priorities and closed some doors so I can enjoy what I can do right now better.
Blogging and sewing has top priority :-)

I tried to add a rose at the bottom of this post, but Blogger would not let me add more pictures.
Consider yourself given a rose my friends :-)

  18. Happy Anniversary! And congratulations on sticking to your hour a day and finishing that beautiful top.

My kitties are most "helpful" in the quilting department too. Which is why I try lay blocks out or take photos when they are outside! Unfortunatley with 5 that come in and out there is usually at least 1 in the house at all times so I rarely get any cat-free sewing time. :-) But I'd rather have the slight aggravation that not have my babies so I'll not complain too much.

I somehow missed that you were having medical problems. I hope the doctors find out what's wrong and come up with a good plan of treatment. In the meantime do what you feel like and the rest can wait.

((((HUGS))) to you and thank you for the virtual rose. :-)
