Catching up on gift photos

These are the last of the Christmas gifts, and now that all have got their gifts I can freely blog them :-)

I planned to not make any gifts this year, but you know, the best laid plans. I think it is my genes or something, as I just had to do it anyway. I made a deal with myself of starting and finishing one gift at a time.
I did not want any Christmas Ufos and I did not need the stress of juggling many balls in the air at the same time.
My energy meter is not very high right now.
It turned out being a good plan and all that I started was finished and I had a good time.
As you see, my cat helper tested and approved many of the gifts :-)

These 4 placemats were a gift for my niece and her boyfriend.

This little snowman accompanied the red coasters in the black holder to DH's brother's house.

The 4 red coasters tied with raffia was a little surprise gift for someone needing a little something.

These male black and brown coasters, the black holder and a good bottle of red wine also got a good home on Christmas Eve.

  6. What a great way to deal with the "I want to make gifts" urge. And the ones you finished are all perfect! I'm sure each receipient loved what they received, and you saved yourself lots of stress. What a neat simple idea for placemats! But then that's no surprise - you are such a creative person. Love the little snowguy! It's always so much fun seeing each new project that you share.

  9. Adorable gifts! They probably didn't take a lot of time to make, but certainly say that you took the time to make them instead of buying gifts. I think I'll work on small gifts for next year myself.

  10. More wonderful gifts - the recepients were so lucky to get the work of your hands! I always have good intentions but don't seem to get everything done as I should. Sigh! :-)
