Here is block # 1 finished and I think it is looking good :-)
This is lovely work to do when it is hot, as it is easy to bring stitchery outdoors.
The outdoors temperature has dropped from 30+C to 15C since yesterday, and it is time to pull out some fabrics and sew again.
First on my list is to prepare block # 2 so I have some handwork to bring to a sewing lunch tomorrow.

Absolutly beautiful! Between you, May Britt, Darlene, Leigh etc... you're driving me into embroidery! lol I truly love blogging. I have learned of so many wonderful designers, people I would never have known about had it not been for blogland. Your quilt is going to be magnificient! Be well!
ReplyDeleteAnd then over to #2. I am so happy I started again on this BOM. I emailed Leanne my post from oct 31th last year when we had our first BIG snowfall. Hope I did not scare her from coming to Norway.
ReplyDeleteO Hanne. It is so pretty. The embroidery does so much!! Really nice. May be a favorite~
ReplyDeleteEach one of these blocks would be a beautiful piece of art framed and hung on the wall. Very pretty.

ReplyDeleteSewing lunch, tomorrow ? GREAT ! I had our annual Quilting Bee's Lunch, today. It was yummy, funny... but we didn't sew anything ! LOL (it was in a restaurant, we're only five members...)

Okay, I have to ask.... do you and May Britt have jobs outside the home? Where do you find the time to create so much beautiful work??? I'm very envious of all that you two do!
ReplyDeleteIt looks wonderful! I just love patchwork combined with stitching. You've done a beautiful job.
ReplyDeleteThat's quite a temperature drop for 24 hours!

ReplyDeleteThis is so wonderful Hanne! Between you and May I'm really wanting to start a quilt with stitchery in it. I have several different patterns that include stitchery - but I MUST keep my nose to the grindstone with these UFO's!
