It takes a blogger to go out at 7 am to catch a ray of sun on the remnants of the hollyhocks just because the colours goes so well with the quilt under work, right? :-)I heard on the radio yesterday that earth tones and browns are The Hot colours in decorating this season.
I guess this quilt is very right then - the recipient is very into home decorating :-)
As you can see the quilt is now ready for machine quilting. It will be straight seams, so I will put the accu feed foot on the Janome.
I hope to be able to finish the machine quilting today. Maybe even start working on the binding. I hope to be able to cut it, join the lengths and maybe sew it on by machine so I can start doing the hand sewing tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely picture! When we built our house in 1978 we had brown carpet placed inside. I loved that wall-to-wall carpeting: it didn't show any dirt or wear at all. So brown is back in?
ReplyDeleteThe photo is great. A good combination of colors. I like brown too. Our living room is painted a light mocha brown so I guess I'm in style.
