I declared May my work on what I have already started month, and it is paying off!
DH installed very good light over my sewing table last week, and it is so nice to have less strain on my eyes, and I have been able to sew more in the evenings.
Now the Town and City quilt top is done and it is growing on me :-)
I still think I will give it as a care quilt, but the more I worked on it, the better I think it looks.
The measurement is 50" x 75" and I will not add any borders.
My plan is to add a pink-ish binding.
DH and DD2 was ready to help me with the spray basting this evening, but the backing did not make it - my shoulders protested, so tomorrow evening we have a new date for sandwiching this quilt.
Hanne, du har gjort det igjen!!! Toppers, altså. Eg ville ha hatt det sjølv..., eller laga ein til...tenk å ha noko så flott på veggen!
ReplyDeleteOh Hanne, that quilt is beautiful! No border? Not even a one-incher? Hmmmm... I'll have to try that!
ReplyDeleteDen ble flott, Hanne.. godt jobba :-)
ReplyDeleteThe light colours make your quilt really beautiful, and I like the flowers (and the houses, trees, mountains and fences!).
ReplyDeleteHanne, this is wonderful! As always you have done a great job! Giving it as a care quilt sounds like a lovely idea, I have a feeling that there is a child out there who will treasure it!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a beautiful Quilt!

ReplyDeleteOK, Hanne-- I want to live there!!! Love the pastels... It's not the pattern, it's your interpretation that makes the piece come to life... Great job!!!
ReplyDeleteHello Hanne,
ReplyDeleteI have really enjoyed browsing your blog this morning and have added you to my list to come back again - your work is just beautiful! I particularly like the pastel quilt on one of your your March 08 entries (the one with the embroidered blocks). Is this a commercial pattern or your own design? Either way I just love your photos - thank you so much for sharing your fabulous stitching!
See you soon,
love Jackie (in England) xx
