On the road again

Some (many ?) will say I am short of a marble,
but a lot of my internet friends will applaud - I am starting another full Dear Jane quilt :-)
The plan was to start on Monday, but the best laid plans and all that - you know....

This one will be with CW repros in blue and brown, alternating, with Ecology Cloth muslin as background, sashing and plain triangles.

This is block C9, and it is done with reverse applique.

My previous full Dear Jane quilt took 5 years from start to completion, and my time schedule this time is not tighter than that.
If I do 1 block or triangle a week from now on, I will make it all right :-)

  1. Hanne, I like this block. It would fit in with my black and white quilt challenge I am hosting. However, I am guessing the whole quilt will have many different colors?

  2. I know you love doing this so I am not surprised you start another DJ. I am still having problem deciding to start on DJ or civil war with my repro fabrics.

  3. Just beautiful Hanne, and your applique looks perfect. I too am making a second DJ, and I think that a 5 year plan may be too tight for me!

  5. Your reverse applique is perfect!!
A little while ago you posted a photo of a strip quilt in a configuration of a star. I loved it so much I did a version of it too.
Please feel free to visit my blog and check it out sometime. I enjoy looking at your projects and love your life motto.

  11. Yup! This really goes to show that you are one marble short! ;-) But it will be so fabulous, and so worth the work! And I think we all know how much you love Jane, so it's not all that surprising. Have heaps of fun with this one!!

You know I have a goal of finishing mine by 2020, so with your five year plan you'll have this one and another done by the time I finish my first :o)
