Vitamin Q should always be taken in generous doses !
Now there is no way back - the Jelly Roll is opened!
40 strips sewn into 20 pairs.
I can see how a seamstress’ desk can be cluttered in 5 seconds flat.
Fabrics that are not neatly folded take a lot of space!
Here are the 20 strip sets ironed.
From 1 strip set I can get 2 complete hexagons and my 20 strip sets will give me 40 complete hexagons.
The strips in a Jelly Roll is 2,5” full width of fabric.
A Jelly Roll equals 60” of fabric.
I don’t have a clue how big this quilt will be all in all.
I intend to use all the 40 hexagons.
Hanne

How did you do that? This is going to be so lovely.
ReplyDeleteLovely! And so quick as well .... love this method of doing hexagons. Glad you're feeling better and were able to sew when you needed to.
ReplyDeleteWOW! I wish I were taking a class with you. I am such a slow quilter and you are high speed. I hope you feel as good as your quilting looks. Cathy in Shipshe

ReplyDeleteDette blir spennende!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see how this turns out! i have several jelly rolls that need a project! Sorry about the broncitis too. I have had that many times and it a real energy zapper. Hugs.

Dette så spennende ut, Hanne!
ReplyDeleteBruker du en spesiell linjal (grader?) til å skjære ut "trekantene"?
