The Christmas days are over for now, and today is New Year’s Eve.
Several of the Christmas days were taken by a bad head cold.
Luckily it is gone now, and we will have guests for a turkey dinner tonight :-)
I had planned for morning coffees, sewing and blogging, but you know, the best laid plans and all that…..
I thought I should show you my quilty crafty gifts this year.
A lovely book, the finishing kit for the snowman blocks I got in my Advent calendar,
2 patterns, a soft, warm scarf with a matching jacket for my Hitty doll,
a dragonfly button, 6 fat quarters from Lolly’s in Shipshewana (!!),
2 boxes of my favourite glass head pins
and the most gorgeous Dear Jane cross stitch embroidery.
I made one of those DJ embroideries for my friend Val 5 years back, but never got around to make one for myself.
DD1 made this one for me, and I have decided I will have it professionally framed.
From DD2, the box with Jelly Belly and movie theatre tickets! What a lovely gift :-)
We had so much fun seeing the new James Bond film before Christmas.
I am so looking forward to our cinema night!
To the left a wonderful perpetual calendar with saying for joy and encouragement from my lovely aunt :-)
The saying for today:
New year. New possibilities.
Move forward with your head held high.
It is a privilege to start over again.
Be prepared – I will share more sayings with you through the year :-)
A gift from me to me :-)
I have a favourite seller on EBay, who always has the very best Japanese books :-)
One last finish this year – Christmas lasts until Easter (Norwegian saying) or Dreaming about spring.
Thanks for walking with me through 2012 –
I have enjoyed walking with you!
I have a lot of photos I have not blogged, a lot of places I have been,
a lot of people leaving footprints in my heart, but I think there is always tomorrow,
and it is one good thing about having your head full of dreams and plans
you have not yet put to life –
you always have something to keep you busy and happy :-)
As we close the door on 2012, I want to wish you the very very best for 2013!
May your morning coffee always be warm
May your needles never break
May your dreams come through!
Hugs from Hanne
