Sunday 2. June, 2 days after arriving home from Turkey – the Just Plain Nuts top is done, and on Monday morning I brought it to Merete at Sy.no, for professional machine quilting.
I was delighted to find that we both had thought down the same lines regarding the machine quilting. I am looking forward to see the quilt done!
Miss Cat, the Quilt Inspector, really loved to have us back from vacation and the house quilter back in work, right next to her favourite chair.
The 3 last blocks – the 2 above finished before we went on vacation, and the one below is partly hand pieced on the Turkish balcony, in the mornings.

Congratulations! I'm very happy for you. See, you did leave me in the dust. ;-) I have not stitched for over a month now...........Maybe I will get a little motivated by Tour de Fibre?
ReplyDeleteSO SO SO beautiful! Congrats on a spectacular finish. :)
ReplyDeleteHanne - that is just magnificent! I made a quilt from small blocks many, many years ago, but they were nothing compared to the blocks in this quilt! I have been so impressed by the work you put into this from the beginning. I love that you did it all in shades of red.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt looks fantastic! I love those blocks and I loove your cat.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous quilt and Miss Cat certainly approves :)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Tatyana
