Vestlandstreffet Molde, 12-13 October

P1000351

Vestlandstreffet is a big regional quilt gathering in the west part of Norway, taking place every October, moving location up and down the coast every year.
This year the gathering was in Molde, near where I have my roots, and I had the honour of being asked to teach.
My subject was Traditional Handpiecing, and I had so much fun with all the ladies in my 2 classes.
The photos are glimpses from the shop area, with Gerd from Syskrinet, Molde at the top, and the photo below is also Syskrinet.

Looks like I have only one photo of Lappemor – must be the fact that I am very taken by the Lori Smith quilt on the wall and Anne Heidi’s bright smile.

If you see something you like to own from any of these shops, do not be shy, give them a call!

And what did I buy ??

2013-10-11 18.40.20As a teacher, these gatherings are busy, happy busy, so I did not bring my camera everywhere. Sorry I do not have photos from the exhibition or the meals,  but I want to share the wonderful view from my hotel window.
Evening view above, early morning view below.

The gathering was great fun, the company was excellent (and beyond)
– all in all a weekend to remember with a big smile!

  2. Artig med et slikt treff. I år har jeg verken vært på quiltelsget eller på kurs, så da blir det bare nettet for å hente inspirasjon

  4. I always like to look at the photos of the quilt vendors - so many pretty fabrics. Is hand work more popular in Norway than machine work? here in the states so many prefer machine work, but I always like hand work more

  6. Takk for et trivelig kurs Hanne. Det var kjempekjekt. Jeg syr og jeg syr av disse stjernene. Det har blitt noen av de nå. Tror kanskje jeg skal sy et slumreteppe av de. Må sette seg store mål. (he he)

    Ønsker deg en fin førjulstid.
