My family is watching TV – the traditional Norwegian the evening before The Evening program – with Christmas recipes for the traditional Christmas Eve meals + various artists.
I am listening to the TV while I do some stitchery and enjoy my glass of red.
I could not help myself today, and had to make jelly sweets from scratch, flavoured with freshly squeezed orange and lemon juice + zest from both fruits.
I have not made these for many years, but sorting through my recipes (and throwing out a lot) I found this one.
My mother in law usually makes this sweet, but I do not know if she made them this year, since her health is not what it used to be and she is going on 89 years old.
The yellow jelly sweet is all natural colour wise and the orange one is with a touch of red food colouring – they both tastes the same.
Miss Cat is very confused and not at all happy about all the changes for Christmas – where is the sewing machine ?? and why have you put all this stuff around the house ??
I hope you all have a nice evening before The Evening!
