I have been thinking about inviting you into the Quilt Corner for a long time –
here it is – minus cat in cat chair :-)

It is good to be Miss Cat these days. The veranda door is open a lot, so she can go in and out as much as she likes, and heaven is even closer when she can share an ice cream with DD1 :-)

What is going on in Quilt Corner these days ?
Maybe not as much as I would have wanted, but a very good thing is that I am not having any deadlines hanging over my head.
Life is a journey, and my intention is to enjoy every day :-)

Ufo progress

Ufo # 2, 3 and 4 are done :-)

This meshwork piece has been in my basket for a long time now.
I learned to do meshwork many years ago, by Mia, and it is fun, but I am not so good at using what I have made.DSisIL’s birthday is coming up on Sunday and I decided to make her a makeup purse and a cover for her phone.
The set turned out great, in my own not so humble opinion. I hope she likes it too!

Well, well – 4 had to do – I needed something super easy and super relaxing this morning, and this pre-printed Christmas design I have had for several years.
It was a Christmas gift from May Britt – and this Christmas it will be done and decorating my home :-)

The end is near on my priority projects !

Maybe you are as done with them as I am ;-)

They have taken a huge bite of my quilting life lately.

The Watermelon quilt is lacking 9 Baptist Fans and the strip quilt is lacking machine quilting and binding.

The Watermelon quilt got the name from the colours I have used. It reminds me of summer and watermelons.

Can I finish the strip quilt tomorrow ??

I will aim at it, starting the machine quilting now, at 8.20 pm.

I will do meandering - blue on blue and beige on beige.

The binding will go on by machine, so once cut, it is fast work.

I aim at finishing the Watermelon quilt by the end of next weekend at the latest - preferably before. I have a lovely raspberry red batik to use for the binding.

The world sure have shrunk with internet!
I have already started the middle stitchery, today, but that is another story.... :-)
