Brighter than the sun
This is a bright one, indeed, and I hope it will give comfort and joy to a child in need of a hug in the future.
It has been fun to do and I have used a lot of scrap strips.
These 4 patch blocks are big, 14" finished.
I started with a square in square with black and did log cabin around, in one colour, until I could use my 15" ruler to cut the block to size.
Then I cut the block in 4.
The inspiration for this quilt is the Mumbo Gumbo quilt
If I will do one more - and it might very well happen - in other colours - I will do the quarter blocks one by one, as a 15" square stretches easily.
I decided not to sweat the stretching - just have fun.
I will piece the backing from fabric collection too, and when DH comes home tonight he has promised to help me with the spray basting.
I will give myself a couple of days to finish this quilt. I will meander it.
