Oh - my mind is spinning with all kinds of other projects right now, but this quilt top _has_ to be in the mail before the weekend in 3 weeks. I have booked machine quilting for this quilt, so I just have to keep on keeping on.
The last 11 blocks are hard by the looks of it, so one stitch at a time - exercising self motivation on a high level here ;-)
I am so ready to start something else!
Now I have joined all the rows that are complete :-)
All the remaining 11 blocks are in the middle 4 rows.
Over the last week I have worked on the sashing a little every day, so from now I will be starting doing the zig zag border, a little every day, so when the blocks are done I should be about ready to join the top.
Just beautiful -- I can't wait to see it completed.
ReplyDeleteHi Hanne..........wow you have come along way........such an acheivement........I will be sad and happy when you finish this as I first found your blog when you were making these blocks early last year......and I have brought the book but not sure if I will get started on it........only 11 to go......enjoy then end of your journey........as it will come to an end very soon.......
ReplyDeleteHi, Hanne !
ReplyDeleteWOW, dear, what an achievement, and such a beauty ! You were sooo right chosing a red/white color scheme, the result is breathtaking.
One very last effort and you're done ... TADAAAAAAA !
This quilt would be a winner in any competition. Congratulations, dear !
I bet you'll be eager to see it quilted.
Heartfully,

Wow... this is beautiful. What a job it must have been putting it all together. I bet it'll feel good when it's all done.
ReplyDeleteIt is coming along beautifully, your persistence is paying off. One step at a time and it will be done before you know it.
ReplyDeleteAll this an a pieced border, too? Wow!!! Are you going to continue one block per day? If so, less than two weeks to go! :-)
Hanne, the Nearly Insane quilt is looking absolutely stunning. I managed to buy the book from my local quilt shop, would never have picked it up from the colours on the front! Your red and white is just stunning. Not sure when/if I will make one as I have only really just begun my Dear jane journey but you have inspired me to think I may make it one day, thank you.
ReplyDeleteSpectacular blocks as well as what the quilt will be when you finish. It makes me want to finish a red and cream BOM I have.
