Inspiration from Lappeloftet, Bergen

P1070784Lucky me got to visit Lappeloftet outside Bergen, bringing Dear Jane and Nearly Insane quilts for teaching :-)
Teaching in a shop is always nice, and I like Lappeloftet a lot!

I am inspired to do the same – I have that ruler too, but have not used it yet.

P1070799All good things come to an end, as does even a lovely weekend with great quilt ladies.
They all got good at traditional hand piecing, and this is the blocks finished.

P1070807Some goods had to come home with me too :-)

Thanks for a gorgeous weekend!

    I love the heart-shaped quilt.
Never saw this before, do you know the name of this technique?

  4. HI Hanna
If you ever come to Toronto, Ontario, Canada please contact me and I'll arrange for our guild to have you teach a class. I don't know anyone making Dear Jane blocks so it would be something completely new to our members.
On another topic, in photo 8, do you know the manufacturer of the fabrics sitting underneath the big tote made from the same fabrics. They have a great business look to them - great for the travelling corporate professional.

  5. Å så mye nydelig å hvile øyet på, og hente inspirasjon fra! Jeg falt spesielt for de nydelige stoffene du hadde med deg i kofferten hjem...
