Happiness

20180409_101322

I have so enjoyed sorting my small size patterns today, holding them, thinking, planning and dreaming!
Seeing several of them marked with price tags from Lolly's, Caroline's Cottage Cottons and Yoder's, all in the Shipshewana IN area, let my mind travel over the big pond, to spend time with friends!
In November we will meet again!

Counting my blessings,

Hanne

I love to make gifts!

I love to make gifts - for birthdays, for Christmas or just because :-)
May Britt had celebrated her birthday in the end of September and we were travelling to USA in November 2015.
She had not yet got her present, and I found that the airport was the perfect place to be presented with a surprise gift.

One always need a new toiletry bag when travelling, right?

The stitchery is designed by Bronwyn Hayes - Red Brolly. I have not seen it in any Norwegian shop. When I found Bronwyn Hayes' designs online many years ago, I was smitten with her drawings and I hunted them on Ebay.

May Britt was very surprised - success!

For hostess gifts for our lovely hostesses Debra and Colleen, we decided to make them our traditional Advent Calendar, so they had a special treat to enjoy through December.
We gave 2 gift each to both calendars and above is one of mine - the blue and beige pouch is for Colleen and the red one is for Deb.

I am happy that both Deb and Colleen liked their pouches :-)

Right before our trip I bought these cool name tags. I enjoy using them.

It was also fun to make these 2 pincushions - one for my friend Val - and she got her gift just because, in Shipshewana,
and one for a birthday gift for a special friend here at home.
Designer of stitchery and buttons is Lynette Anderson.

Off course I needed a new toiletry bag for our USA travel too :-)
One can never have to many toiletry bags, ever!

Wishing  you a wonderful day

Tuesday class with Gail and Helen

P1050840What a wonderful day - 2 teachers, 2 classes, in the same room - and we were there to enjoy it all!

Gail and Helen divided the room between them, and my part of the room had Gail's class first, doing applique.

We were a lovely gang around our table, learning, chatting, laughing trough the day!

P1050852P1050854I love both Gail and Helen's designs, and have several of them from before - both single patterns and books.
Adding their smiles, their voices and pleasant personalities to the mix just adds to the good things, making me wanting to do more of their designs in the future.

P1050859

After a good lunch our table did stitchery with Helen, and we all learned a lot of different embroidery stitches.

After the classes we had some time together, and had our photos taken.

It was very nice to have our photos taken with Gail and the quilts both May Britt and I have made from her patterns.
You might remember how much I enjoyed doing this quilt - and now it is even more special, being Gail approved ;-)

To much of a good thing is gorgeous :-))

I hope to meet you again in the future!

Catching up again

P1050707

Monday this week I had the pleasure to travel with friends to meet Gail Pan and Helen Stubbings visiting the shop Quiltefryd in Tønsberg :-)
We spent the night in Tønsberg, attending a wonderful trunk show on Monday night and a class on Tuesday.
As you can see, I had my overnight bag very thoroughly inspected before departure :-)

I should have posted photos earlier, but I was unlucky catching a bad cold virus during the Tønsberg trip.

I have also been busy finishing 4 projects I am not allowed to show you in a while yet.
They are all done now, and I had the pleasure of doing bindings outdoors in the sun last weekend.
It is actually snowing again today, but the ground is bare yet.

I love Log Cabin and these table runners with logs cut 1" really make me want to do Log Cabin blocks again :-)

May Britt and I stayed there a while, shopping, chatting and enjoying ourselves.
The others went on to another shop, but we could not pull ourselves out of Åsne's wonderful place :-)

kopi_av_bord_hjerter_1180947159_thumb[1]After, we had coffee in a very picturesque little coffee place - and we met a friend I have not seen in a long time. It was so nice to spend time together, catching up again!
