One of those wonderful days in life–part 2

P1010516

According to tradition – in the evening there were a trunk show :-)
Everyone loving Anni’s designs knows they come in all sizes, and it is difficult to see the small ones from a distance, even from chair row 2 – I hope my camera is of help :-)
Click the photos for enlarged photos.

Sometimes I wish I had one of those very big lense good cameras – if I only was strong enough I would have had one!
More to come – I hope you have enjoyed the journey so far :-)

Simplify and enjoy

P1050319I want to wish you a Happy New Year and share with you my slogan for 2012 - Simplify and enjoy!
If you like to stitch the design too, you can find it here.

Please keep in mind that this is my pattern and I enjoy sharing it with you.

You can make as many hearts as you like, to keep, to give away or to sell, adjusting the size if you so prefer
BUT
I will ask you kindly not to teach from my pattern and
not to copy my pattern to your blog or website.
You are welcome to refer your friends to my blog to print their own pattern, and I love to see what you have made from my design!
Enjoy!

I am not one for resolutions really, but I love plans :-)

My plan for 2012 is to simplify and enjoy -
* organize my fabrics by using from my fabric collection
* finish several started projects
* shrink my WISP collection
* take a break from making care quilts
* have fun with my own designs

This is May Britt's lovely heart design in the making :-)
I love hearts, and I love May Britt's yearly heart designs. Thank you May Britt!

May Britt and I have a January challenge going between us:
No starting of new projects in January.
We also have a Low Buy challenge going until 16. March - only BBBB allowed - borders, bindings, batting and backing!
It will be hard, but we can do it, together :-)

A Christmas Mouse To Your House

Christmas mouse

Christmas can come here in my house, and I hope you are ready too, wherever you are.

I am sure you are done with your Christmas gifts, more or less.
This is my Christmas gift to you - A Christmas Mouse from me to you, maybe to enjoy on a quiet evening between Christmas and New Year's Eve :-)

You can find the pattern drawing here - Enjoy!
(I really hope this link will work for you - it is my first try - if not, let me know!)

Some years ago a meme was going around on 5 things I do not want for Christmas.
I chose to turn the meme around and say 5 things I want for Christmas.

They can be repeated:

I wish for all children (of all ages) that no harm will come to you this Christmas. I wish you can feel safe and warm, inside and out!

I wish for all who are in grief that you will be comforted.

I wish for all who are in pain that you will get relief.

I wish for all who need a hand to hold that it will be one there for you.

I wish for all who feel alone that you will have company. I wish you can enjoy a good meal and the flicker of candle lights.

Be glad of life because it gives you the chance to love and to work and to play and to look up at the stars.  ~Henry Van Dyke

New pattern - Giveaway

I have released my first pattern for sale!
It is out in 2 shops from this week :-)

Quilte.net, a Norwegian internet shop, carries it on their website already.

This calls for a little Snoopy dance and a giveaway :-)

The Christmas stocking measures 9" x 7,5".

The pattern is in Norwegian, but I will enclose an English translation if you like.

To qualify for the giveaway, leave a comment on my blog, and post about the giveaway on your blog.

If you don't have a blog you can join in anyway.
Under this post you can see a small white envelope. Click on it and send me a mail directly.

Next Saturday, October 4th, I will draw 2 winners.

The best of luck to you all :-)

Lost in action - sort of....... :-)

Projects, classes, deadlines and ideas = busy busy busy :-)

DH is sailing with his friends in Greek waters and DD2 and I are having the house to ourselves.
I am working my fingertips off, but it is fun!
Not much R&R around here :-)

It will be nice to have DH back again on Sunday.
We need a handy guy around here!!
First on the list is a checkup on the kitchen oven that is only working partly since he left. The oven top only works on the front half.
Not that I need complicated meals made with several pots and pans since he left..........hehehe
Do I see a new oven in the near future, or is ours fixable ?...........

Come tomorrow evening and the speed will slow down around here.

The project you see a glimpse of is ready to be presented to the world tomorrow, but still lacks a little last minute work + paperwork.
Wish me luck !! :-)

Oh, lead me not into temptations ......

...... I go there myself :-)

I have been teaching the last evening in my year long, bi-monthly Dear Jane class tonight, and I guess you believe me when I say I am ending up paying for teaching - or should I rather say trading for quilting goods ?
I used more money than I made today though, but who counts ;-)

The Japanese block book - translated to French, is a real beauty.
May Britt made me aware of it in March, and I ordered it then, and got it today. It is both a coffee table book and a good work book. I was not prepared for how thick and heavy it is. A really special book to be enjoyed and thumbed again and again.

The fabrics - 1 meter of the light fabric and 4 x 12", full width of fabric - the last pieces of those fabrics actually.

A stitchery pattern could not be passed either.

Temptation - your smell is sweet and your taste is anticipation !

Seems like a totally white month fabric shopping wise is very hard, but instead of shopping mindless I have plans for what I buy, in the very near future.
I do not shop for saving anymore - I shop for using and enjoying - now :-)
